Graycliff Crystal President
Setting the stage for this awesome smoke that Havana Cigars now carries in stock, it is mid morning and I just finished up a slice of banana loaf and setting on the back patio with a Vanilla Frappuccino with a Pearl Labeled Crystal President. Here lies the president of cigars, priced at a little over $20 that would scare aware most novice smokers this is a cigar that is to be sat and well enjoyed. A 7 inch length with a 48 ring gauge wrapped in a Ecuadorian Sun Grown leaf with a Indio Binder, this cigar is stuffed with a blend of Nicaraguan, Dominican, Brazilian, and a leaf of Grecian to add spice. This combination makes a nice full body cigar with nothing but sophistication in mind. First lighting up I thought I had taken a drink of cocoa that led into a nice smooth blend of cream, cocoa, woodsy cedar, and spice with light pepper. The Grecian leaf really adds a unique taste to what would be a normal creamy woodsy cigar. The peppery bite comes from the Grecian spice and is well moderated to not be overbearing. Towards the end there was a slight taste of green mint picked up. This complex taste is well blended to make the a unique taste that is not found in your normal cigar. This is first class all the way. The heavy smoke and perfect draw of this cigar makes the enjoyment of smoking well worth the price. Throughout the cigar the creamy, woodsy, spicy taste is brought back and forth to the palate almost mind boggling as a 6 course meal.
This cigar is stuffed with spiraling leaves that are bound tight in areas and loose in others to make a wonderful almost euphoric smoke throughout. There is almost a Cuban flavor to this Bahaman made cigar. The vanilla frappucino coffee drink that I had with it makes this cigar almost taste like dessert and a wonderful combination the two make. The burn is well balanced yet the burn is not even across the entire cigar but a slight blistering of the wrapper right below the head of the cigar all the way around letting me know it is burning thoroughly on all sides. This cigar is made for royalty and should be smoked by those who love the experience of a great tasting cigar. Novices beware; this cigar is one that needs to be savored. In the end, I feel like a nap, 100% satisfied and then some. Total smoke time abut 90 minutes. This is a superior tasting cigar well worth a 95 or better rating, I rate at a 96 and is easily one of the best tasting cigars I have ever smoked.
